Basic Plot (Without giving too much away besides the basic preface): Feeling that America is suffering from a major decline, an overly patriotic ex-Shield Agent, who is also a necromancer, resurrects all our nation's Dead Presidents in order to fix it. But the problem is the Dead Presidents' solution is to wipe the slate clean with the blood of the American people who they feel have forsaken its dream. S.H.I.E.L.D. dispatches Captain America to confront the issue and, once on scene, Cap confronts and defeats the late President Truman decapitating him via his vibranium shield. This becomes a public relations nightmare for both S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers. So the question then becomes how do we deal with this pesky issue of these Dead Presidents without making either of ourselves look bad? And that's where the wild card that is Deadpool, a.ka. 'The Merc with the Mouth', comes into play. S.H.I.E.L.D. hires Deadpool to deal with taking out the Dead Presidents discretely (But if you know Deadpool, discrete is just not a thing Deadpool does). Deadpool teams up with S.H.I.E.L.D., the ghost of Benjamin Franklin and a couple of other Marvel Supes and of course it's a wacky, action packed ride of quips, kills and fourth-wall-breaking thrills.
