Murder in Pigalle Description
New York Times Bestseller Cara Black’s fashionable Parisian P.I. Aimée Leduc has a new look for her 14th adventure: five months pregnant.
June, 1998: Paris's sticky summer heat is even more oppressive than usual as rowdy French football fans riot in anticipation of the World Cup. Private Investigator Aimée Leduc has been trying to slow down her hectic lifestyle—she's five months' pregnant and has the baby's wellbeing to think about now. But then disaster strikes close to home. A serial rapist has been terrorizing Paris's Pigalle neighborhood, following teenage girls home and attacking them in their own houses. It is sad and frightening but has nothing to do with Aimée—until Zazie, the 13-year-old daughter of the proprietor of Aimée's favorite café, disappears. The police aren't mobilizing quickly enough, and when Zazie's desperate parents approach Aimée for help, she knows she couldn't say no even if she wanted to.

MURDER IN PIGALLE might be my all-time favorite Aimee Leduc novel. Tough-as-nails and always chic Aimee is this time battling villains -- and morning sickness! I also love the descriptions of Pigalle and its history. You can easily enjoy this book without having read the other books in the series. This is such a smart, atmospheric and high entertaining mystery. Highly recommend!

Cara Black's characters are complex, her stories are unique and her plot lines are compelling. I feel lucky to have found her book series. I had tired of all the cookie cutter murder mysteries and crime dramas. Cara could teach a thing or two to other authors in regards to how to write a book with some creativity.
I highly recommend this book and this book series to anyone who's interested in something different (and anyone who loves Paris- and who doesn't?)
